Adaptive overcurrent relay (AOCR) based on Fano Factors of current signals

چکیده
A Fano Factor-based adaptive overcurrent protection scheme, that automatically adjusts the settings in response to prevailing conditions of power system, is presented. Both phase and ground relays are based on same mathematical algorithm calculate operating time using Factors (FFs) estimated for current signals, respectively. Effectiveness proposed method validated various fault types under a plethora loading levels, besides wide range inception angles resistance. Simulation results confirm can detect series shunt faults, differentiate between grounding adapt relay FF all examined. The speed sensitivity controllable both setting values moving data window size. Moreover, it characterized by being simple, reliable, accurate, be implemented practically as base digital protective use substation automation systems phasor measurement units.
